Electrochemical Detector

The Electrochemical Detector (ECD) detects electroactive compounds in HPLC and IC via redox reactions, offering ultra-sensitive sub-nanomolar detection.

Compare

An Electrochemical Detector (ECD) is a highly sensitive analytical instrument used in liquid chromatography systems, especially High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) and Ion Chromatography (IC), for detecting electroactive species. It operates by measuring electrical current resulting from redox reactions of target analytes at the surface of an electrode. Designed for pharmaceutical, biomedical, environmental, and food safety laboratories, ECDs offer sub-nanomolar detection limits, making them ideal for analyzing neurotransmitters, vitamins, pesticides, phenols, sugars, and biomarkers.
