Kater’s Reversible Pendulum (Steel C.P.)
It is a compound pendulum constructed on the principle that the center of oscillation and the center of
suspension are interchangeable. It consists of a steel rod of 120cm long and 1.0 cm diameter capable of two
adjustable knife edges facing each other. Two metal weights (made of cast iron) of dimension 7.5 ×
3.75cm (length × diameter) and (3.5 × 3.75cm) respectively can be made to slide along the length of
the bar and can be clamped in any position. Two wooden weights exactly similar to metal weights can
also slide along the bar. With the help of this apparatus, we can find the acceleration due to gravity at a place.
Setup Contains:- Kater Pendulum S.S with Knife edge, Digital Stop Watch, Vernier Caliper & Inch Tape.SKU: DSS-00140 -

Kinetic Theory Model
The Kinetic Theory of Gases is a model that explains the behavior of gases in terms of the motion of their individual molecules. It provides a microscopic understanding of the macroscopic properties such as pressure, temperature, and volume. This theory is fundamental in thermodynamics and statistical mechanics.

Lamp Holders
A variety of ‘MES’ and ‘SBC’ lamp holders some batten mountable for use in the science laboratory.
(Wikipedia excerpt:…A lightbulb socket, lightbulb holder, light socket, lamp socket or lamp holder is a device which mechanically supports and provides electrical connections for a compatible electric lamp.[1] Sockets allow lamps to be safely and conveniently replaced (re-lamping). There are many different standards for lamp holders, including early de facto standards and later standards created by various standards bodies. Many of the later standards conform to a general coding system in which a socket type is designated by a letter or abbreviation followed by a number.
The most common type of sockets for mains electricity are Edison screws, used in continental Europe and North America, while bayonet mounts dominate in the Commonwealth countries, except Canada, and in the automotive industry. Fluorescent lamps typically require a two-pin, unthreaded socket. Not all lamps require a socket. For example, some miniature lamps have wire leads suitable for direct connection to screw terminals or other wires, and some reflector lamps provide screw terminals for electrical connections…..” ).

Lee’s Disc Apparatus
Lee’s Disc Apparatus is a scientific instrument used to determine the thermal conductivity of a bad conductor (such as glass, rubber, wood, or plastic). It is widely used in physics and material science laboratories for heat transfer experiments. it is also used to determine thermal conductivity of a bad conductor (glass) in form of a disc using Lee’s method.

Lenz Law
Arco Lenz Law apparatus is a simple and effective way to demonstrate induction & Lenz Law of electrodynamics. The metal hoops (one open and one closed) are freely moving on a centrally mounted pin. In the product photo above, you have a complete closed circuit (loop) on the right. When a magnetic field is introduced (from a bar magnet being moved toward the closed loop), we have an electrical current and a magnetic field that will repel against the original magnetic field. This is demonstrated when the closed loop moves away from an approaching bar magnet. This is Lenz law. Alternately, when you approach the open circuit (open loop) on the left with a bar magnet, nothing will happen.

Lever Arm Balance
The balance is useful for trial weighing, reading directly in gm. Double range, change form one range to another is accomplished by rotating a hinged arm. Index is of edge reading type to avoid parallax error.
Capacity – 250 gm and 1000 gm
Ranges – First range 250 x 1gm
– Second range 1000 x 10 gmSKU: TJS-00114 -
