Smooth and Accurate Basket Motion

DISI-1A employs a basket reciprocation mechanism powered by high-precision stepping motors in micro-step mode. This ensures smooth, synchronized sinusoidal motion, with identical up-and-down movements across multiple testing stations.

User-Friendly Operation with PH21 Software

All testing procedures are managed through the Windows-based PH21 software, offering a familiar interface for fast learning and intuitive operation. The system meets the latest FDA 21 CFR Part 11 requirements, with password-protected operations and flexible access control. Every operation is logged in a secure, protected audit trail.

Real-Time Disintegration Monitoring

DISI-1A provides continuous monitoring of tablet height, offering immediate alerts when a tablet fails to disintegrate as expected. This real-time data enhances quality assurance and process control.

Electromagnetic Measurement Technology

The tester uses a patented electromagnetic measurement principle. Tablet height is sensed when the basket moves upward using six coils embedded in the basket’s lower plate. Each testing disc contains a copper ring that attenuates the electromagnetic field as it moves, allowing for non-contact and corrosion-free signal transfer between the basket and the tester’s frame.

Basket Design and Maintenance

The disintegration baskets are designed for easy disassembly and cleaning. A magnetic coupling enables quick attachment and removal without wires, while the quick-lock system on top secures the disks during testing. The basket’s transparent design allows clear visual inspection of tablet disintegration.

Temperature Regulation and Safety

A thermostatic control unit heats the water bath and maintains the immersion fluid temperature within strict limits. Each station is equipped with an individual temperature sensor to monitor the fluid in real time. Any deviation triggers an automatic alarm and test termination.
