The IONUS Ion Analyzer with Post Column Derivatization (PCD) is a specialized version of membraPure’s IONUS system, designed for highly selective detection of specific analytes that require chemical modification after ion separation. By integrating Post Column Derivatization into the ion chromatography workflow, this system offers enhanced sensitivity and specificity, especially for compounds that are weakly responsive or undetectable via standard conductivity detection. This platform is ideal for trace-level analysis of transition metals, amino acids, sugars, and other complex ions in environmental, clinical, and food safety applications. The PCD module ensures accurate quantification by reacting eluted analytes with colorimetric or fluorometric reagents, producing a measurable signal. It is a modular, fully automated system, with precise temperature control and reaction time management, delivering high reproducibility and low detection limits.
