HGC 30 – High-Precision Humidity Generator for Laboratory Environmental Control

The HGC 30 Humidity Generator from DataPhysics Instruments is a state-of-the-art solution designed to deliver precise and stable control of relative humidity (RH) in laboratory environments. Engineered for accuracy and versatility, it supports a wide RH range from 5% to 90%, making it ideal for research and quality control in fields such as materials testing, surface science, and environmental simulations.

Built for adaptability, the HGC 30 can operate with ambient air or external clean, oil-free gases like nitrogen or argon. Depending on the configuration, it supports flow rates from 70 ml/min up to 3500 ml/min, allowing for both small-scale experiments and integration with large analysis chambers.

One of its standout features is its dual desiccant system with automatic regeneration, which provides continuous, maintenance-free operation. The system also includes heated water reservoirs and gas lines to prevent condensation, ensuring consistent RH levels during measurements.

The HGC 30 is simple to operate via its intuitive touchscreen interface, and it can be seamlessly integrated with other instruments through the optional SCH 20 software. This makes it an excellent choice for applications requiring precise environmental control, including AFM, TGA, DMA, and contact angle measurements.

Whether you are studying humidity-sensitive materials or simulating environmental conditions, the HGC 30 provides reliable, reproducible, and flexible humidity control.

The HGC 30 humidity generators  allow for a reliable control of the relative humidity, in the range of 5% to 90%, inside small environmental measuring chambers from DataPhysics Instruments or other suppliers. With an integrated pump and desiccant reservoir they can independently generate a dry airflow using ambient air. Together with the heated water reservoir the necessary humidity can be generated within the HGC. Using the gas connection tube this air flow of well defined humidity can be fed into various environmental chambers or laboratory devices. The gas tube is heated in order to prevent any condensation during transfer. With the additional humidity and temperature sensor the system can measure directly at the target location and calculate the dew point inside of an environmental chamber.
